Rotation of the chairmanship of the Advisory Scientific Committee

On 1 September 2012, Mr André Sapir (formerly Vice-Chair) became Chair of the Advisory Scientific Committee – replacing Mr Martin Hellwig who had chaired the Committee since 1 May 2011. Mr Sapir will take the Chair for a period of 16 months, until 31 December 2013. The two Vice-Chairs are Messrs Martin Hellwig and Marco Pagano.

The ESRB Regulation stipulates that the chairmanship of the Advisory Scientific Committee rotates between the Chair and the two Vice-Chairs (on a 16-month basis).
